is this outrageous...am i be gouged because I'm williamson county?

I want to get pictures of the family taken on location and get just a DVD/CD of print quality images that I can do whatever I want with them. I paid $265 to have a professional photographer come to my house and park and take pictures 2 years ago in Boston and she was with us about 2 hours and gave us the images to do as we please.

I got a recommendation for a photographer from a neighbor and she wants $1800 for the exact same service.

I hired a dog and horse photographer for my wedding and saved a tonne of money and got the best wedding pictures out of all my siblings.

septimus, for what you are describing that seems a little steep to me. A resource you might want to check out is the Brentwood Camera Club(Brentwood Camera Club - Home). The BCC is a large organization of professional and serious amateur photographers. One of the officers could probably put you in touch with a couple of photographers that are more reasonably priced. This might be an option if you don't find anything acceptable in the Yellow Pages. Good luck.
You can also check out some galleries on the website.

That's outrageous. The most I've ever paid for a professional photographer (not counting my wedding) was about $200.

My daughter does pics and provides the cd to do whatever you wish with for less than what you paid two years ago I am sure. Here is her link if you want to check out some of her work, she is only 16 but does quite well for herself. I am speaking for her but if interested you can check out this site to see some of her work www.peaceloveandtricia.deviantart.com. If you like, then feel free to email her at annemorgan111@gmail.com
