I was directed to Mt Juliet before but we have been searching and can't seem to find what we want there. We are looking for 2000+ sq ft, move-in ready homes on more than .5 acre for no more than 215 K. We would like to be within 30 minutes drive of Old Hickory(Shute Lane) if at all possible. Decent schools are a must and I would prefer to not do Davidson County at all. Any places other than My Juliet I can look?

My husband is there in Mt Juliet now and he says that it feels so crowded.

You can find a home in Mt. Juliet that fits your criteria, but they are selling quickly. There is one new listing on a half acre lot in mint condition for $214,900 in The Park at Mt. Vernon.

If you just don't like Mt. Juliet, you might look in a few places in Gallatin that would be convenient to Hwy. 109, Lebanon, or even Smyrna. To stay within 30 minutes of Shutes Lane and stay out of Davidson County you are pretty much going to be limited to those areas I think.

Thank you for the reply. I really would have liked to see the home in Mt. Vernon but I believe someone has already put an offer on the home. It is so hard to search for homes when you are in CT, ugh. For some reason I guess I didn't think home were selling so quickly there. Well maybe there is hope to find exactly what I want there for that price range. I would love to live in Mt Juliet and keep the commute down.

Hi Amy,

There is a fairly new listing (20 days) in Mt. Vernon that does has an offer on it. However, there is another new listing that, to the best of my knowledge, is still available and has only been on the market five days as of today. They both have half acre lots.

Thanks do you know what the price is of the newer listing? That neighborhood, although not the one we were hoping for at first, seems to have lots of what we are looking for.

My husband visited the area and is now set that we live in Mt Juliet. Although he can't believe how populated the area is. I actually don't mind having neighbors, lol!

We may have a higher price range depending on what the offer is. This is so exciting.
