Hi everyone,
I am searching for information on Nashville area to relocate from Illinois. We are a family with one kid and two dogs. I have few questions if anyone can help.
We like La Vergne(from the web view) because we enjoy going boating.
Is this a safe area? Is it true you can find snakes in your backyard(I have a fobia...and a small dog)?
About jobs...Are there opportunities for a CDL driver and Accounting Assistant/ Clerk?
Also, I am from Romania, Europe. How can I get in touch with other romanians there?
Thank you for your help.

If you like going boating you might also consider Hendersonville which has many more miles of shoreline and waterfront parks. Lavergne is an area with a lot of light industry and warehouses.

Yes you can find a snake in your back yard but that can happen in any part of the US.

I'm not sure if there are more jobs in LaVergne or not.

Smyrna is very different from LaVergne it's more of a traditional suburb like Hendersonville, Franklin, Mt. Juliet, etc. It's very family-friendly, safe, clean, and has good schools. Smyrna is also good because you could more easily take advantage of both the Nashville and Murfreesboro job markets without a long commute to either.

As for the Romanain question

http://www.romanianorthodoxchurchstandrew.com/

There's also an Eastern-European Market/Grocery in Berry Hill across from 100 Oaks Mall on Thompson Lane. I think it's in a shopping center with an Applebee's.

Thank you so much! You are very friendly. I hope other readers don't ignore my questions because I'm romanian. Actually I've been living in US for 10 years, my husband is american and my son was born here. I'm thinking in the future my parents will be here too and they don't speak english.
I read that people over there are very friendly and there are many immigrants. We are living in suburbs, NW from Chicago.
