I also read that the idiot owner thought that poor Tony would be a "draw" for LSU fans, I wonder how the college feels about this?
LSU has a vet school, wonder if they know about Tony?
I read it, was just saying what the idiot owners so-called thought process was.
You know, if there were something like this going on with live gators here in Florida, there would be a huge backlash.

Sorry...you asked if the school was aware....the Vet school has tried to get this poor animal away from there for yrs. Have no idea if they are still trying.
And it is going on with live alligators all throughout Fl. Just drive up and down 75 and see the billboards.

They're not live gators, I've lived right beside I-75 for 20 years.
One I saw was very much alive...wish I could tell you exactly the mile marker, but haven't a clue. Somewhere around Lake City I think. Another dump.
I know exactly where you are talking about, its a caimen, which look almost exactly like a gator, those are legal to own here, gators arent.
To have one, you have to have a slew of licenses, permits, etc. They're highly protected here. http://www.alovelyworld.com/webbur/gimage/bur05.jpg
Caimen pix.^
And you're right, that place is a pit!
I know what a caiman is....this was a easily a 8-9 ft. gator. And I know what a gator is....I live in Tx...have them in the lake I live on. I assure you, I can tell the difference.
Besides...this is about a tiger...not alligators/caimans/crocs.
PS...Just asked DH...he says the crap spot we saw the alligator at, wasn't anywhere near Lake City...but he can't remember the name either.
Well, that's what has been happening in Grosse Tete, LA for the past 10 years...all of this poor tiger's life. To learn more, please visit his Facebook page and PLEASE sign this petition. Boycott ConocoPhillips | Animals | Change.org
Thank you---please spread the word so that Tony can one day be free.
If it's legal and the customers don't complain, then why not?
