I just sprayed "liquid fence" on everything. Hope it keeps our half starved dear from eating anything.

I thought these colors were pretty:

The rest are from the Japanese Gardens yesterday.

See the butterfly? I swear he was following us around. I took pictures of him in a different area of the park before this. (Yes, I'm absolutely positive he was the same one. ) Anyway, we were sitting on a bench here, and he kept fluttering around above us and landing on the branch. He was right above our heads. Took me several attempts to catch him:

Some good spots everyone.....last night a juvenile possum came to nibble bird seed on the deck....thought my cats were going to jump through the window! He WAS cute.....just old enough to travel around without mom now.

Red-shouldered hawks around today. Lizards. Still too hot for much to move around in daytime, including me. Not nearly as many butterflies to the butterfly bushes as in previous years though......

Great pictures. Maybe I can dig out a couple from trips to the botanical garden.

We noticed the same thing about butterflies here, GBH. Yesterday, I actually spotted 2 monarchs in our garden at the same time. That was a biggie. There's been a big yellow guy hanging around now and then and he was here too. I'm hoping the monarchs left eggs. Have only had one caterpillar so far - that we know of, anyway.

Haha, thanks. I didn't want to post too many. Here are some more.

Again, this first one, I just liked the colors, although I chopped the top off.
