I like any cat that is ok with my dogs. And I've observed that lions do it.

Cougars have some of the most beautiful faces of any of the large cats with the larger eyes. Fun fact: they’re more closely related to cheetahs than either is to any of the four “big cats”, having evolved from one common ancestor.

Lynxes are incredibly beautiful creatures as well, with their lighter eyes and slightly different facial structure than you see with most medium to large cats.

The only big cats I have experience with are Cougars.

We occasionally see them in our back yard, and see their scat on our roof.

One killed a deer in the woods about 15 feet from our backdoor.
We left it there and watched as he came and fed off of it.
He didn't like us watching so he moved it a little further into the woods.
This involved carrying it across a windfall about three feet off the ground and covering it with leaves.

He took several weeks to finish it off and only a few bones and some hair was left.
He didn't eat the skull and femurs

The most recent sighting was a female with two kits.
They were as big as she was.
The neighbor in back of us caught them on her doorbell phone.

Cougars walk on "soft paws" so it's difficult to see tracks even in snow or fresh dirt, but they drag their tails and make tail tracks that looks like a snake passed by.
