I would consider living in the City in one of the magnificent old houses just West of the Capitol. Otherwise Dunbarton on an old farm.
If money is not object - then yes agree. Some beautiful old homes and further out some absolutely beautiful old farm houses. Cost to maintain can be high. But money is no object. So go for it.
I have lived in old Victorian style homes and the craftsmanship and details just aren't found in today's box houses.
As to why, I can only give my reasons, everyone else is different. They are beautiful classic houses with lots of charm and personality in a wonderful neighborhood, close to downtown Concord. I am sure there is lots of history with each house too, which appeals strongly to me. Too bad I will probably never have the money to afford one.
If money was not an issue and it had to be concord I would say over near the hospital behind the nursing home on the hill. In that area anyway.
