What the hell is so good about it? Haha, I'm just wondering because I hear a lot about the area and it's one of the most populated towns in New Jersey. Being a North Jerseyan, I don't know much about the area and I was wondering why it's such a popular place.
cause its a hub of the area and has every store you can think of.. is close to Philly... lots of nice housing... decent roads to get around.. great schools.... basically has everything a person could want.. in one area..
The Cherry Hill Mall was the first mall opened east of the Mississippi. It's not only a landmark it was/is an important destination hub serving a wide area and a couple generations of shoppers.
You can take two different trains and various buses to Philadelphia, but it's just a short drive. It's close to many beaches and best of all, you can be in the woods hiking and camping in under an hour.
*Newer, affordable, but quality housing
*Good schools
*10 miles from Phily, but much more suburban feel than other towns close to a major city
*Abundance of restaurants & shopping
*Close to major highways, taking one north or south
*Close to the NJ Shore
Also, some parts of CH are very multi-cultural, but middle to upper class. High Jewish population in some areas as well.
I once joked that the town should be renamed Cherry Hillel. Overall, a good place to live. The downsides, in my opinion, are the lack of a downtown and the HUGE High Schools. But, each neighborhood has its own elementary school.
LOL! You know I like Cherry Hill Shan--and saw it for the first time a few months ago and LOVE it!! It has a ton of plazas, shopping, restaurants.....
Don't knock it strap lol
I still have to try chee burger cheeburger!
