I know you're able to use your monthly rail pass on buses, but does it work the other way around, if you have enough zones?

For example, I have a monthly rail pass from Metropark to NY Penn, which states 10 bus zones on the ticket. I am able to use this from Sayreville to PABT.

If I get the monthly bus pass, would I be able to use this at Metropark?

To Nexis4Jersey: On the proposed Salem County rail line, do you think it would be better if the rail line terminated in Wilmington, DE instead of Pennsville, NJ? Salem County has a decent commuter rate to the city of Wilmington, as it serves as an employment hub for the county. Wouldn't a Camden-Wilmington rail line be a better option than a Camden-Pennsville rail line?

how can I get involved in pushing nj transit to expand the light rail in Newark ... the 13 take 4million passenger trips a year that's more than some light rail systems. that alone would make just outside the top ten ...

they should do the 13, the airport line, Paterson ,and west orange/jersey city (that serves the west ward).. it has a chance to increase the revival effort in Newark and to make that light rail system just outside top ten in America. what steps .. do I approach raz barraka ?

You can ask him , but I don't think he cares much for Newark.

I think Newark will get a huge public transportation boost as they rebuild and attract the educated class. Bring in the people, and the convenient transportation efforts will follow.

It also doesn't hurt to be in close proximity to NYC.

I think that's a huge bonus. I love Newark. It's a great place with a great location. I've used the lightrail several times. The problem is not the city. It's the people.

Will south jersey see any transit improvement at all in the next 15 years. When will the glassboro line be finished on time. It is sad to see that several suburban localities in Gloucester County are being denied public transit options to employment centers in Philly and central NJ. Such projects are expensive, but could have a positive impact on unemployment in south jersey which is sky high. It could also lead to gentrification of bad neighborhoods in Gloucester County by educated professionals.
