Oh I didn't know that. I knew there was one on 440, but never saw the one downtown.

If the link doesn't work the name of the article is "Fierce competition surrounds jitney buses" and the writer is Tricia Tirella.

I suspect the crackdown is inspired more by a desire to protect the business of the NJT buses than to protect rider safety. The jitneys are not the newest buses on the road but neither my hubby nor I have never come close to an accident in one and we're frequent riders.
