We have expanded our home search to Cranford. I saw a nice split home on Nomahegan Ct where the interior is completely renovated, listed for $509k. It has been listed for a few months already with price reduction, I wonder why it's still sitting on the market.
Anyone know if that area is prone to flooding or has been flooded before.
i found it on gsmls - really nice house. i imagine one reason is it doesn't have a basement, but the area seems nice...a friend of mine is near the park, although on the other side.

Thanks.
I worked at Union County College for five years and used to walk the trail around Nomahegan Park every day. I'm not certain where Nomahegan Ct is but I know that the area on what I guess would be the Northeast border (the part with the quiet cul-de-sac like streeets) of the park floods at times when there is heavy rain.
Nomahegan Ct is a nice block-I have family that lives there. Cranford is a great town, convenient, Kenilworth and Westfield close by, all the stores on 22, good schools, family oriented town.
Did you actually see the home or did you see it on the internet?
We are going to see the house but if I know before hand that it floods when it rains, then it would be pointless to waste the seller's and the agent's time.
Hi! Did you ever look at this house? We were considering seeing as well, but figured something must be wrong with it since it hasn't sold. Did you find out about flooding? Thanks!
We checked out the house, we didn't like it. The dining area is pretty small and the open kitchen means the smell would permeates to the living room.
It is also weird that the house is situated in a triangular lot, so your backyard is slanted.
Not sure about the flooding.
We saw some other splits (on Penn ave?) and that was actually much nicer in terms of layout.
