I'm looking to relocate with my 12 year old daughter. We currently live in Harrison and things are getting bad there. Among other towns, I'm thinking of Bridgewater. Don't know much about the town, only what I read. But more importantly I wanted to know about the Middle & Highschool there. Neither school will give me a tour and simply refer me to their website for info I hear good things about the schools, but I also heard that the kids can be snobby and privileged. Would love to get opinions on the town and schools. Thanks

We always liked Bridgewater and our son was accepted in many Ivy league schools. Many towns in Somerset county could be considered snobby but Bridgewater far less than Watchung, Warren, Basking Ridge. The preffered area of Bridgewater is in the mountin areas North of rt.22
Some people living outside Bridgewater might consider it privileged be we always thought of it as a nice upper middle class town.
It is convenient to all shopping and some great restaurants.

My friend is a high school teacher there. I hear a lot about her students and it seems to be a great school. She teaches honors as well as regular classes. She also works with the student council so she gets to know a lot of the students. All of the kids seem to be well rounded and into a lot of extra-curricular activities including student government, sports, and the arts. The parents are all very much involved in their children's education. The school provides email for their teachers and this is how she communicates with a lot of the parents. My boyfriend's aunt/cousins also live in bridgewater and they love their town. Let me know if you have specific questions and I can ask them for you.
