I just recently drove through Wallington and found some inexpensive townhomes that peaked my interest and was hoping someone had some information on them.. They are about 3 years old and are only 40 units or so. Jeanine lane, Doris Lane are where they are located which I believe is off of Parkway. Any information would be welcome to teh area

There are 3 currently on the market (a 4th has an offer on it already). They are all 2 bedrooms and 2 1/2 baths. They are all located in a flood zone. They range in price from $279k to $310k.

2 of the 3 on the market are short sales. They were selling $355 to $405k 3 years ago when they were new.

The flood zone I am not concerned about as it is a 100yr flood zone. I guess what I need to know how the school systems are? Also I have to wonder about the surrounding town since it is so close to passaic. I am honestly contemplating purchasing one but I just do not know allot about Wallington other than is a large polish community

Wallington does not have a good reputation for schools. Its high school was ranked 204 out of 322 in the state.

Why exactly are you not concerned about a 100yr flood zone. What does that mean? Does it mean it's been a flood zone for a 100 years and there's never been a problem with homes flooding? Thanks in advance.

You have a 1% chance per year that there will be flooding. Personally, I wouldn't want to be in any flood zone, why take the chance?

There is a more detailed mathematical explanation on Wikipedia.
