A Latino should be anyone who speaks a Latin based language such as Spanish, Italian, French, etc. Somehow though the Spanish speaking people of the Americas claim sole possession of Latin heritage.

Edit: just never understood the term Latino but I do agree with the posters sentiment.

It might have just been immigrants in general, not just Latino.
