You already have pedophiles running this country. Barney Frank is a perfect example. Remember the Congressional page scandal?

Are you saying all Christians are pedophiles?

You sound like a narrow minded bigot to me. You must be a Democrat?
Archie Bunker was a Democrat. And he was surely a bigot. So by your reasoning all Democrats must be bigots. So, in your narrow mind, are all Pollacks stupid? Are all Jews cheap? Are all Muslims terrorists? Are all blacks lazy? Are all Irish drunks? What about the Italians? Are they all in the Mafia?

If ignorance was measured in pennies, you'd be be able to pay off the national debt.

FWIW, I agree with you ... He should be at the helm in Washington, and in Congress and in Senate. But then, that would be the end to the wonderful checks and balances that were built into our constitution. Oh wait ... that's right ... they've been gone for decades.
How do you get that I implied that Jesus stood for greed and corruption? I said the opposite but the *******s only infer what they want out of a statement anyways.

Dude, Reading is Fundamental!

These protesters need to look in the mirror to discover the true genesis of everything they are protesting. Collectivism, statism, socialism, envyism. After decades of destroying freedom, their philosophy's chickens are coming home to roost. And they have the nerve to protest what they caused? Seriously? And not only that, they advocate more statist, collectivist, freedom-destroying solutions to address the issues they claim to be concerned with.

The protesters are protesting themselves, but are too mind-bogglingly stupid to see it.

Is this an example of the Christian values you were talking about that you want to see in Government?

I think it is you, Dude, who are reading something a bit skewed into the Jesus Christ story if you think He stands for the values promulgated by either of our political parties.

Even if either one of the political sides managed to get Him onto their list of candidates, it wouldn't last any longer than a Perry run. They'd probably wind up crucifying him again, in the name of the almighty dollar (the TRUE antichrist).

BTW, you think this demonstration was spontaneous whereas I say it was coordinated by the Democrats, just think about this, what headlines were dominating the news until these demonstrations sprouted up? Solyndra and Fast and Furious, where are they now in the headlines?
no, i respect alternative opinions. but you're calling something "class warfare" when it's a simple truth that we currently enjoy the lowest income taxes in our history, and we want to return to income taxes that existed in the 90s, a time which was quite prosperous might I add.

you say the demonstrators are complaining that others have more than they have and that it's not fair. that's simply not the case. people that believe in a progressive tax code, which happens to be in use in every first world country that is a leader in economic powers in the world, believe that the current tax system is simply too low, with too many loopholes.

we both recognize that the government is spending more than it's taking in, but you're solution is to cut spending. while that is all well and good, as soon as people start discussing what to cut, people only want to cut what doesn't effect them. Republican and Democrat congressmembers won't vote to cute certain military spending, because it leads to jobs in their district.

the simple truth is we cannot get to a balanced budget that starts to reduce debt without cutting spending AND increasing taxes.

i asked you for specific examples of the claims you made, and you simply did not answer.

what comments have i made that are "leftist"? my accusation that your points are all FOX talking points? apologies if they are not.

oh and now we're on the conspiracy theories that the Democrats started all of this. Most Democrats in government won't even throw their support behind it. They see the writing on the wall (some do)...this isn't about protesting Republicans and praising Democrats. It may very well be people who voted for Obama in 2008, but they aren't out their praising him. These are people that are angry at the way our democracy is currently functioning, and both Republicans and Democrats are targets of that anger.

Solyndra, as I said before...flavor of the day. That was going to pass rather quickly, because as I indicated, it was a small portion of the total funding in that program, one small company failed out of many that didn't.

Fast and Furious - we didn't discuss that. I think that's a disgrace and I don't think they've taken responsibility sufficiently for that.

She is more notable for her uncompromising social conservatism than fiscal hawkishness.
a few simple truths, in my opinion, that will exist in campaigning for a while, whether it's a R, D, Tea Party, or whatever:

1. Social Security will not be fixed by anyone, in any meaningful way, because it's a great campaign item and they all know it. It's a simple fix if they want the program to continue as it was intended, but they won't make that fix. So they'll continue with patching it, while campaigning to fix it.

2. Medicare will remain largely untouched unless people 18-50 years old start voting with 100% participation. Without that, what incentive does a politician have for rocking the boat with the old vote?

3. Defense spending impacts too many people's home districts, so we'll continue to build items we don't need because too many people have the jobs in their backyard. Nevermind that spending in other areas would create more jobs and have a greater impact on our economy.

without changes in the voter participation and demographics, I don't see much of the above changing. Doesn't matter what they say in the campaign, unless they agree to being a 1 term candidate, don't expect any of the above to actually happen.

our defense spending is greater than the next 7 largest defense budgets in the world, all which happen to be our allies.

china is building up their military with technology we're providing them.

this is a position i do not share with my fellow conservatives. we currently spend about 6 times as much on our military as china. we have no enemies within thousands of miles of us. we wouldnt be a military target for russia, iran or china. let europe deal with their own military problems. our military should be here in america protecting our borders and available to quickly destroy another country if needed. we shouldnt be setting up shop all over the world.
