Can anyone tell me a good OB-GYN that delivers at Valley Hospital in Ridgewood? I am from the Butler area, but do not want to deliver at Chilton or St. Joe's and those seem to be my options from the doctors i have found in my area. I don't want to have to go TOO far for appointments, so I was hoping to find someone maybe in the Oakland, Wyckoff, Franklin Lakes area.
First, you need to find someone who is in your insurance plan. That's a great first step. Go on-line or call them. FYI, I delivered at St. Joe's and had a great experience. The nurses were top notch and they have a terrific neonatal nursery if there are any issues with your newborn.
We used Valley Center for Women's Health for both of ours( 1st is now 2, 2nd is now 6 months). They are a group so you have to be OK with not knowing which one of them will deliver your baby or see you for your check-ups. The plus is that you can always get an appointment and they have evening hours. All the doctor's are very knowledgeable but all have very different styles. Some are all about tests and ultrasounds, some are more wait and see for everything. Some have great bedside manner, others do not. Both of deliveries were non-c section. They have 2 offices, one in Ramsey and one in Ridgewood( used to be in Midland Park)
