You can always live in a town that does not have the Tier 1 school district (pay less taxes) and use private schools like Don Bosco or Bergen Catholic (both have great college acceptance rates).

Immaculate heart academy is an excellent school as well.

You must not have seen been in the part of Washington Township west of the Garden State Parkway. There are quite a few mansions near IHA on Van Emburgh Ave as well as in the neighborhood off of East Glen. However, with that said I would still classify Ridgewood as wealthier than Washington Township, not to say that Washington Township is "poor" because it most certainly is not.

Since this is an old thread I won't say anymore, but I just wanted to put that out there.
