Yeah....$600, 2 BR...and then...close to The Path.

That driveway doesn't look like it'd be anywhere around there in my opinion.

EDIT: Oh really??? 5th st??

The apartment on 5th St. is not unsafe. I used to live a couple blocks from there on 9th St. It looks like the location is right at 5th & Manila. There is a housing project around the corner on Manila, but I used to walk through there all the time and it's really not bad, nor did I ever hear of anything bad going on there. It's not the best location, but if it's really only $750 for a 3BR then it's a good deal. If legit, I would definitely go for it. From there you can walk to either Newport or Grove St. path stations (about a 10 minute walk to each). It's also within easy walking distance to the mall and Shop Rite.

Do people normally refer to a single family home as a 3 bedroom apartment?

Sure passing by the housing project may be ok but what about LIVING right nearby? I wouldn't!

Actually, why not:

Where are you coming from? Linden, NJ
Why are you moving? I've always wanted to live in NYC/Jersey City/Hoboken/Fort Lee/15 minutes away from NYC
Where will you be working ? If NYC, what part of NYC? Jersey City Heights

Will you buy or rent? Rent
What is your budget ? $600 to $850 (Prefer $700)
What kind of place are you looking for ? An apartment...not sure how to answer this question...sorry :-/

Will anyone (spouse, children, pets) be moving with you ? No
Do you need/want good public schools? No

Briefly describe the kind of neighborhood you'd like to live in
(examples: families with young children, young, mature, artsy, diverse, safe, close-knit, block parties, etc)

List three things that are important to you in order of importance.(examples: nightlife, outdoor activities, rural/urban, safety, downtown area, charming, new construction, proximity to XYZ, family oriented, easy parking, short commute, etc) In that order.

Look in Bayonne or Harrison where you can find something comfortable for your price range...
