best way to travel new brunswick to livingston (job, different)

I am starting a job up in livingston-- What's the best way to get from new brunswick there- I have to be there 8:30-- and what's the best way to come back at 5:00-- I see lots of different ways to go- GSP, 287, 280, 80, turnpike... and a bit confused... Thanks!

NB to 514 east to 287 to GSPN to 280E
