Can somebody please advice difference between Manalapan , Englishtown , South Brunswick (08540) , Holmdel in terms of schools , house prices , neighborhoods , crime scenes , taxes ?
which one has good parks , kids related activities ?
Any positive and negative points ?
please advice
I would probably rate Holmdel the best overall. Followed by Manalapan (englishtown is part of manalapan) and then south brunswick.
Holmdel is the most expensive, and more prestigious than the rest
You will get more for your money in Manalapan. Huge houses for $750 and up
All have very little crime
All for the most part have parks but Holmdel park is the most known and biggest by far
All have very good schools. Your kid gets A's and good SAT score, then they will get to go any school for the most part they want.
South Brunswick is somewhat close to New Brunswick which has a lot to do.
Easy to get to the shore from all 3
Manalapan- mostly very wealthy jewish people, house prices and taxes very high, schools mostly with rather spoiled kids, the areas safe in terms of violent crime, but drug use among middle/high schools
Holmdel- known for PNC, a concert venue where giant loud tailgate parties happen (if your kids are young, don't live right near it) also a very expensive town- just don't go nearby to keansburg (not safe)
South Brunswick- close to new brunswick which is home to Rutgers university, certain areas have some trailer parks, diverse area, supposedly good schools
Look in South Brunswick, or any of the Brunswicks except New Brunswick which is inner city. The 08540 part of South Brunswick is the Princeton zip code, but still South Brunswick schools which are good. The area is immensely safe.
