Im looking at this property in Elizabeth Nj, its on 1011 1/2 Flora Street Elizabeth, New Jersey 07201. I want to know, how is that area, and how easy is it to get from there to NYC, manhattan to be exact. Any trains to penn? Or buses? Any help will be great. Thanks.

It looks like it is about 10 blocks from the train station to penn
and there is a bus line that runs into the port auth.
try to find member ( jstar41 ) and ask for the info on the area
I PM'ed him with the same text, but I am guessing hes busy, and has not yet seen his inbox. Ten blocks is not bad at all, I can walk that. Just need small particulars, and how to get there by bus or train, and where to get off to get to that spot.

I used to live in millburn and drove through elizabeth to get to the turnpike a couple of times on my way down to east brunswick. I have heard gun shots and seen police cars rushing pass me. I don't recommend it!
I have no clue on the area, so thats why I am asking. I need a place about 1200, maube 1350 a month. And thats kind of pushing it. But Manhattan prices are crazy, and affordable Bronx are way too far, or just awkward to get to. Queens is expensive, and so is Brooklyn. I currnetly live in East harlem, so anyways, any info on a place that price rang commutable by public transport to NYC?
For $1200/month, you can do far better that Flora Ave in Elizabeth. I'd look down in Iselin or Woodbridge near the train stations- they may not be anything fancy, but they'll be far safer and quieter than the place you're currently considering.
