I beg to differ but there is NO WAY can commute during the week from Lafayette to NYC in an hour unless you are taking a 747.

I agree Wileynj.. its scarey but some people selling their homes are as bad as realtors they will tell you anything to sell a home.

I think it's more of a NJ thing..everything is 10 mins..or less than an hour : )) Which is usual true..unless you hit traffic and you will! Too many factors in order to give someone a straight answer... like summertime, you could probably make it in an hour from Lafayette - no school buses or teachers on the roads. I suggest that people try mapquesting rather than asking - you can do a general town to town search and it will give you a good idea as to how long it will truly take.
