I often have a hard time explaining to people that Wawa is a lifestyle and not just a convenience store.

I think alot of the pronunciation "Jerseyisms" are going to inherently be limited to North Jersey.

Anyway, its probably been said before but disco fries, great adventure (not six flags), hardroll with butter is breakfast, waiting "on line" instead of "in line" and knowing that the best pizza is not from NYC.

One thing that annoys me is when people add 's' to store names, like it's plural. Examples are Best Buys, JC Penneys, Fortunoffs, Barnes and Nobles.

"Yeah, I saw this TV at Best Buys the other day, and then I went to Fortunoffs."

I've only seen this in Jersey.

Ugh, I had a friend from Kearny who referred to "the World Trade Centers"--and she WORKED there!

Don't have the time to read all the pages, so I don't know if this one's been mentioned. "She goes" = (She said) "DenEgoes" = (To which he replied)

An odd thing with HS sports. In other states when a team is going to play for the state championship they say "we're going to state" but in Jersey it's "the states"
