Another post about moving. . . . I've done some research so I am looking for this information to be confirmed and/or corrected This is part of our research for a possible job move.

Looking for a town that is commutable to Linden. 30 minutes by car or 1 hour by train. Though from what I can tell by car is the easier way to go. Schools are important and should be above average. I have found quite a few towns that meet these two requirements, which I'll put at the bottom of this post. Where it gets more difficult is finding a town that provides more land or newer developments. Any input on this? Does this exist in the area. . at all? An acre maybe? We've seen a few things that look nice at first glance but then see that they are built in 1920, a 1/4 acre lot or the home is under 3K sqft. . Our budget tops at 900K. . With that number I guess I'm a bit surprised that I'm not finding what I'm looking for. . am I missing a little jewel somewhere??

So, here's what I have.. given commute parameters and schools that are an 8 or above. . .
Monmouth County - Morganville, Holmdel or Marlboro
Middlesex County - Edison
Essex County - Livingston Twnshp or Millburn
Somerset County - Watchung Boro or Bridgewater
Morris county - Chatham or Hanover Twnshp
Union County - Clark, Cranford, Westfield, Summit City, Berkley Hts, Fanwood Boro, Scotch Plains, New Providence Boro

Are there towns that I have missed? Or perhaps towns that should not be on this list?

Any input would greatly appreciated

Maybe youre thinking Cranford instead of Cranbury?

Anyway you have a LOT of options, my first "feel" on this is I would explore the locations bordering the Great Swamp NRA natural area, lots of suburban land there and shouldn't be too far but I would check around there.

That area just popped into my head but you have to check the practicality and prices. It comes down to theres a lot of paces between here and there.
