Hi,

I am looking for anyone who commutes by public transport to NYC from Bergen County for what their general times are to port authority area. Englewood, Teaneck, Edgewater, Fort lee and anywhere are the main areas I am thinking may be good locations.

I work in Tenafly, girlfriend works in the city.

Thanks!

A co worker of mine commutes from Teaneck. His commute by bus is regularly about an hour to Port Authority.

I don't know if it's helpful but I commute from Fair lawn (radburn) to Penn Station . Commute is ~45 minutes by train (depend on connections) and never less than 60 minutes by bus. My commute from my house to the train is a four minutes walk and from Penn to my office is a 12 minutes subway so you'll need to take that into account also.

my spouse commutes from fair lawn to PABT daily...the bus takes 35 mins, sometimes close to 40 mins, since next stop is PABT by express bus, bus driver doesn't care if it reaches a few minutes earlier than scheduled ...bus timing I am talking about is 7am .

My wife and I live in Rutherford. A bus trip to the Port Authority will take 20 minutes with no traffic. Double that during rush hour. To drive to Tenafly from Rutherford would take 30 minutes.

Double that time if taking buses around 8:00 am.

OK, I guess it depends where you get on the bus in fair lawn. From my stop to PABT is about 20 or so stops in fair lawn. The express bus still makes many stops in fair lawn before it becomes express. I've taken the very early morning busses and I don't recall it ever being 35-40 minutes.
