I thought he is a Jewish man of God caught with his pants down? No? Non-practicing Jew? All Spitzer's I know are Jewish...just what's in a name and all.

Did Spitzer run on a "God" platform?

I didn't pay attention to NY's BS gov. election. Kinda like I didn't pay attention to NJ's BS gov. election either. I already knew who the stupid morons who pay to be in a NJ union were going to baaa-baaa into the governors office, but I digress.

Is Corzine a Christian man of God or Jewish one? Which religion can we have an issue with when Corslime's pants get caught around his ankles too?

No "Jacked", I never have cheated...not during my 12 years of marriage, nor during any serious relationship I have had being single. I certainly have had the opportunity...but I knew it just wasn't right...but alot of good it's done me...I'm single. But of course it's not just men who cheat...they just seem to get caught much more often.

I wasn't talking about Spitzer with that comment I made.

That's most likely why you are single..too dependable..too reliable! Men like a challenge. But be patient and never change - you're day will come and you will meet that Mr. Right!

Is it true that Governor Corzine only makes $1.00 per year as Governor of NJ?

P.S. I don't think that any of our governors, as I can recall ,were idiots while they were in office.
Talk to any trooper that was on Florio's protection detail.

Again, who says the money spent was from the state's treasury and not -- like the rest of us -- from salaries?

I've worked in both the public and private sectors, and believe me, I've seen more abuse of privilege in private business. I'm not saying it's absent in government, just that we have more knowledge of it. Why? The private sector doesn't have as much scrutiny from the press or as many built-in controls as the public sector.

If every company in the Fortune 100 had a press corps as big as the Albany or Trenton press corps, we'd know a lot more about the na$ty $tuff.
I'm sure the good taxpaying folks from the state of New York were happy to pay for that room (and not getting "THEIR" moneys worth).

I wasn't going to go there, but you are thinking what I am thinking. In addition to white males, the only acceptable form of prosecutorial scrutiny these days is if you are Christian. In other words, White Christian male = Devil, all other forms of beings = good.

It's a bummer that he was hypocritical, sure. But what I'd like to see happen instead is a public outcry that prostitution is illegal and pressure on Spitzer to fight to legalize it and retract statements about it being wrong instead.

Whether or not it SHOULD be legal isn't the point. My son (who is in high school) made the point to me that Eliot Ness of the Untouchables never took a drink because it was his job to bust bootleggers. True, it was a bad law, but it was his job to enforce it. And PLENTY of feds and cops at that time could be bought with a drink or two...or a keg....

Look at it this way. Suppose this was the governor of Nevada. Now, if he goes to a legal brothel in Nevada, well, his wife might not be happy, but he hasn't done anything illegal. But if he gets a hooker in Las Vegas, where it is illegal, that's a problem - because it's illegal. And governors are supposed to respect and uphold the law.

In NY, prostitution at any price is illegal. In washington DC, prostitution at any price is illegal. Transporting people across state lines for the purpose of prostitution has been illegal for quite some time. As governor, and as former attorney general - Spitzer knows the law, and is obligated to uphold it. Or be busted by someone just as zealous as he is at law enforcement.

Legalizing prostitution is a good topic for a debate. You should post it in one of the General Forums on this site!

Your points about the legality of the act made me think of something else. If Spitzer arranged travel costs with cash, and this woman traveled from NY to DC, isn't he guilty of committing a Mann Act?
