We drove from Chatham and it was 45 mins to his work . Traffic is not as bad as we are used to in Houston. We have lived in cold weather before so we aren’t worried about that.

To be honest traffic in Houston is worse. We just spent three days driving in rush hr here from jersey city to Chatham and from Woodbridge to Basking Ridge. Houston has 5 million people. Dallas is just as bad.

I'd add Holmdel, Colt's Neck and Marlboro to that list. 1.5 will buy you a very nice estate on acreage. Cross off Rumson- very old money.

Yeah, but it's somehow still worse in Houston. I was there yesterday and just amazed that everyone just wanted to take the same road at 11 in the morning. No accidents, no police cars pulling people over, just everyone deciding to take a break outside the Astros baseball stadium for no reason.

That's a nice budget. You can pick from pretty much any town. It's also nice that you were able to come out and make the drive, and hopefully get a feel for the towns. Come back and let us know what you picked!
