New Jersey is famous for its diners and diners for comfort foods. Fancy restaurants with snooty waiters and nouvelle cuisines and prices to match- nah, that's not Jersey.

I would recommend E & V Ristorante in Paterson, near the Totowa border.

Great food at reasonable prices.
