Inspections usually takes 15mins tops. It used to take 30mins before they simplified the tests. The car registrations and plates are back to near normal, I got my plates in about 30mins on line. I read they are finally moving forms online which is such a tedious thing to require waiting in person to get a stupid form to fill out then you go back on line to wait to be called. The MVCS commissioner should be fired, she is way too old fashioned and out of touch.
She had 3 months to streamline the process and they didn't improve anything, with the focus on MVCS by the media now they finally moving to online forms. You can do your taxes with efile, why can't people file their license and vehicle registrations online and then take a number and go in person to do the physical stuff.
Starting to hear the inspection lines are getting much better, from online reports elsewhere such as FB groups.
Phone lines certainly arent. I stayed in hold an hour and a half yesterday, then a recording came on and told me the office was now closed and I should call back during regular business hours. Then it disconnected me.

The employees who answer the phones , some are furloughed. I woudln't even attempt it.
I'm going to try to go sometime next week. The lines seem to be lessening.
Where I am at, I can make my jughandle turn, very very slow, and take a long look at the usually 4 police cars camped out at the parking lot. I like it when they are over there, and not out looking for me.
