In my experience the other side isn't as ravenous as most places...they're more 'sensible' conservatives(if that still even exists)

Obviously Maplewood on the Irvington line is a must to avoid. You have to head past Seth Boyden and Maplecrest Park towards the Junior High to get a decent neighborhood.
