I read through, but didn't see an answer: do we know what the parameters will be for it? We bought in Feb'22 so am wondering if I'll be eligible. Started renting in NJ in June'20, so might be eligible for that part.
Anchor benefits are a complete scam. We are all overtaxed and hes keeping $3k per resident for personal projects and giving back $1k. Vote Republican.
I would be surprised if mine even comes through. I'll believe it when I see it. It also should be much higher, especially for those making under 6 figures.

$1,000 or $1,500 is really not much in the grand scheme of things, when the state collected ~$4,500 more than it should have per resident last year and apparently this year too. The state should start looking into things that will effect people, like remove the toll booths, lower that state sales tax, get rid of these beach tag fee's, lower the property tax bill - as we are still the highest in the country by a long shot.

That largely depends on where in NJ, I think. Overall we have the highest. But a house you'd pay $8500 in taxes on in Hunterdon County, would be only $3700 in Cumberland County.
As far as sales tax, we are ahead in that game because we don't tax food or clothing here. Beach tag fees are set by individual cities, not the state. Any city could get rid of them anytime.
Yeah, 'cause in 8 years, Chris Christie did so much to lower property taxes
Christie took over, we were close to default and NJ was ranked either #1 or #2 for having the worst finances in the country. Maybe have a short memory on the near rioting the left did when Christie did cuts to lower spending in the in the state.
