Too bad Nj has to share stadium billing with NY.

The illegal aliens will just love it, hope their team doesn't lose or it will be mayhem as seen in their countries after a loss.

Will Eric adams be handing out passes to the game for IAs, to honor their cultural love for soccer and a promise to behave??

NY fulfills its role as NJ's conservator.

I went to a game about 7 years ago at Metlife and two European teams were playing.

The noise level was unbelievable. Football can't even compare.

It's the NY /NJ Metropolitan Area.

Legal Aliens will like it too, you know the German, Irish, English, Japanese, Chinese, French, Australian etc...

I really could see this happening. Illegals are already getting the following, as part of their welcome package:
  • One year free luxury hotel stay
  • $15,000 prepaid credit card
  • Free flight to New York airports
  • Free Healthcare
  • Free FIFA tickets

World Cup? More for sure. But significantly less than the big four. There are some pick me's here and there though...
I am 29 and know at least a dozen. Your point?

The 2023 MLS Final had 815k views on Fox, which doesn't even make sense to put on TV. For reference, the Wheel of Fortune pulls in 8.5 million on a random Wednesday night.
So because nobody gave a crap about your random D3 soccer games (is this serious??) it means that soccer is not popular in the USA?

Put MLS aside - the ratings for Liga MX, EPL, and the World Cup are always phenomenal in the US. Watch how popular Copa America will be this summer when it is here. Stadiums will be packed. You still haven't disputed the fact that the USA regularly sends the most tourists to World Cups.

1994 WC in the US was the most attended one in history. The interest in the sport has only grown since then. Soccer is very popular in the US.

People, look who the OP is. Soccer is not the reason for this thread. It's designed to cast dispersion on the governor and the Democratic party, quite a stretch for this topic, but hey. That's Danny's religion, the source of his joy, his reason for living--and probably his main source of income. Posting propaganda on message boards. Get a real job already.

Not a big soccer fan here, but it's a nice boost for the NJ economy, and I am happy about that.

I mean really - attendance at D3 college games is a barometer of the sport's popularity in the entire country? Bizarrely stupid logic.

As soon as I saw this VERY positive news regarding The World Cup, my first thought was...
How is Danny мальчик going to spin this truly excellent news for the state's economy into something negative?
