I totally agree!! I'm so glad that I finally made the decision to move back!! Orlando is very lonely..and theres only but so much of Mickey one can handle.
I'm looking forward to moving back. I just hope that I find a home that is affordable and doesnt break my back!
I will be following you soon. Good luck with the move, life is too short to live in a miserable place like Orlando.
I don't know what the hell is so damn special about Florida. It bores the hell outta me! The food is pathetically bad, it's really become a joke. Welcome to Florida....say goodbye to good food and especially Italian, Chinese, Bagels, and pretty much everything else that I like to eat. Every place tries to rip off NYC and Jersey, "heyy come to Joey from Brooklyn's in South Florida, we make a you that up North flavor down here ehh". GARBAGE! Everything seems to be a 40min+ drive, EVERYTHING. People down here don't even know what a neighborhood is! The ONLY positives I see over there opposed to over here are cost of living, wayy less polluted, and no winter. In the summer forget about it, you'll NEVER see me down there. The way I look at it is if you're from up North you move to Florida to die. The ones that move down sooner, are weak! hahahahah
Thanks for your advice..but I've never qualified for section 8 and never will. I work very hard for all that I have..and will continue to do so...this is not about charity.
Point was it creates a long waiting list, not that you may or may not need it

You hit the nail right on the head. It seems like the only people that like living in Florida are the people that use to live in the middle of no where! The food is horrible (mostly chain restaurants), the cities have no culture, the wages are absolutely laughable (whether you are educated or not), you have to drive everywhere because the whole state is a huge example of suburban sprawl, public transportation is a joke, and the schools are failing and getting worse. It seems that people are finally seeing Florida for what it really is, the population is continuing to decline and I think it will only get worse.
I lived in Center Grove Village in Randolph for about a year. The apartments are older - standard garden apartment, but very well maintained. It's also close to everything (right off of Rt. 10)
