Still? I thought Rt 17 (and this was about 8 years ago) had all the traffic lights removed right up to Mahwah. I guess they still exist though south of Rt 80 to Giants Stadium.

You are absolutely right. Traffic although sucky has been lighter on the parkway.

Paramus can still be a cess pool. Although with the infamous Rt 4 "clover" gone it's a bit better. The Essex Street monstrosity in RochellePark/Lodi/Maywood has been revamped too ... but it still gets jammed. From Hackensack down it can still be a biyatch... especially if it rains... it still floods if someone spits.

Definitely noticed. In Sept. I usually leave about 20 mins. earlier to make up for the extra fall traffic heading north on the Parkway but I've slipped back to my post holiday leave time because I just haven't seen the volume.
