Olga's Diner, known by many as the hub of South Jersey, where 70 & 73 meet, is closing for good after 5 decades.

Owner confirms: Olga's Diner closed for good | CourierPostOnline.com | Courier-Post (http://www.courierpostonline.com/article/20081211/NEWS01/81211040&referrer=FRONTPAGECAROUSEL - broken link)

Anyone have Olga's stories? Ever end up there after all the bars closed?

(oops just noticed someone else started a thread on Olga's. Let's make this thread just about stories & reminiscing about times at Olga's)

The owner/management of the place kept it like a dump. It would be great with a remodel and new menu's and food. I believe they tried selling it for a ridiculous amount a few years ago because it is a landmark.. it would be a great buy for an entrepenur who wants to roll up his sleeves.

It did used to be a great diner-years ago. It is a shame how it went downhill.

My dad used to tell me stories about when he and my mom were first married and had me. He attended then Glassboro State. The first year he lived on campus but after that dad, mom and baby me all lived in an apt in Pittman. During his rides back to Toms River from Glassboro that first year-he said Olga's was like one of the only things on RT 73. So hard to imagine as that drive down 73 is SO built up today. I am also told that I spent a lot of time in Olga's as a baby as they made stops on their long drives between Glassboro and TR.
