Also welcome to shoveling snow, changing to winter tires, $600 monthly heating bill in winter, and hey, remember to clean out all the ice/snow on top of your car before driving since it's the law here (that can take you 10-15 minutes). But don't get scared away - we have a brain drain here and we need people from Silicon Valley. Welcome to Jersey!
I doubt the bolded, do you have a source?

As for the $600 heating bill...are you cooking with your house heat? My parents paid $450 max to heat 5,000 sq ft.

If you want to verify you'd better do your own research on internet. From my memory, Palo Alto 1911 v. 1701 in NHRH.

In Jersey, only magnet schools come close to Palo Alto. Although NHRH is still a great school.

Yes my house was a tiny 2400 sq ft and the heating bill was over $600 a month during the worst months with high energy price, and I was not even in north Jersey. I know people who live in condo smaller than 1000 sq ft and paid $300 for heat. Thanks to those builders who built flimsy houses.
