Right now we have Optinum/Cablevision company for TV, Internet and Phone for $149 or whatever the price is, and I love the Channels we have on TV etc.
Today, we got stupid mail from Verizon that says Faster Internet, Phone and TV company for $89/month, so we probably will save 60 bucks a month.
So now my dad called them and switched to stupid verizon instead
I checked Verizon's TV channel, OMG THEY SUCK!!! Not the same order and channel as Optinum/Cablevision, and they don't even have News 12 New Jersey
And remote control is not even the same !!!
Does anyone have Verizon and know if they have News12NJ channel???

OMG! You've got to learn to operate a new remote? You're missing one channel?? This is terrible!!! Maybe you can cough up the extra $720 that your parents just saved, just so you can avert this travesty??

Fios is waaaaay better than any other TV service out there and is cheaper than most. Your dad is making a good switch. Plus most cable companies are about to raise their prices again if they haven't done so already because of the loss of customers to Verizon and the dish, and also to allow them the extra money to support the new and returning customer promotions.

No, you should be able to port it to Verizon. Tell your dad to tell Verizon he wants to keep his number, but he has to do it asap because it takes them 15 days to do it.
