Just wanted to let everyone know, the major cable and internet companies are offering credits for the outage on your statement. Anyone with Comcast or Cablevision for your Cable / Internet, just call and tell them how many days you were out of service during the storm and they will offer you a statement credit. Verizon Fios will automatically do without you needing to call. I received my credit with just a two minute phone call. No point in paying for something you were not able to use. Good luck!
With Cablevision you don't even have to call you can do it on line ..just bring your account up and oh NO cheating please just enter the dates you actually had no service

Good point. Unfortunately I have Comcast and they hid this as much as they could. Had to call for us.
Really cool they're doing this, my family who lost service on Cablevision was ecstatic when they found out.
Pretty sad that the MTA is allegedly just saying "LOL oh wellz! #water" to 30 day unlimited MetroCard carriers. Glad I no longer live or work in NYC.
