Just wondering if anyone has been & what your impressions are of the establishment.

For those who don't know............ It is the newly opened Beer Garden in the Liberty Harbor development.

I went last week. It's enormous. Seems they are drawing nice, large crowds. There's no loud music. Just tons of people sitting around tables drinking, eating. There's a huge projection screen above the indoor bar broadcasting baseball games, and it's visible from parts of the outdoor area through the giant garage/hangar doors. I like the place very much. The only complaint (and it's a minor one) is that the wait online for food can be pretty long. I was there on a weekday evening, but can imagine myself spending many a lazy weekend afternoon there.

Can you get there on the Light Rail?

The one thing I can't stand is beer-counting......

Well, that and bad beer. Those are TWO things I... well also loud Music are THREEE reasons....

There are three things I do not like, First! Loud music, Second! Bad beer/selection! Third! Having to drive to a bar, Fourth! High prices....

Amongst the things I really dislike are price, noise, poor selection, bad location and overcrowdedness... I'll come in again.....

Yes, the Light Rail line goes right behind the property. It's close to the Marin Blvd and Jersey Ave stops. It's also walking distance to Grove Street PATH.

No music at all
Busy, lots of people, but not overcrowded. Easy/fast bar service.
144 beers on tap
Prices are a little high, but not Manhattan high.

I find the prices to be incredibly cheap actually. It's $10 for a liter of beer, which is about 34 ounces. So that is almost 3 12-ounce bottles worth, for $10 ! In an expensive area like Jersey City, no less. So it basically works out to approximately $3.50 for a bottle's worth of really high quality beer. A decent beer at Barrow Street Pub costs $6 !

$10 a liter (or litre) is a decent price. Not great but not cheap, and it all depends on the brau, you know?

$10 for a Coors Light is highway robbery, but for a decent brown ale, octoberfest or other, I would be walking home for sure!

sounds pretty good to me! Im not sure how I feel about the no music thing though, Im usually not a fan of bars with no music.

I'd say some gypsy punk or gogoll bordello would be fun.

NIST - I think I would like a bar that has music, but not when you have to shout above it to have a conversation.

Many a night I have come home hoarse, only to croak anything I sang along with the next day. Also, there are only so many napkins you can shove in your ears before you get more than a little tired of it!! (If you forget the flesh colored foamies!!!!)
