Hi, I am going to Rutgers this year. I am wonder is there any way I can take the buses or trains from ac to Rutgers New Brunswick? Can you explain clearly and give me details including what bus/ trail number, where to stop....? How long it would take? I am trying to save money from renting a room. I appreciate any information from you guys. Thank you.

People are reading and not responding possibly because they find your post for all the details to be quite lazy. I hope you do better doing school research. Google is your friend.

Best bet using transit is the AC Line to Philadelphia, switch to SEPTA R7 to Trenton, switch to NJT Northeast Corridor. A one-way trip would probably take 4 hours. Your monthly transit costs would probably be about $400. You will not save any money by commuting to New Brunswick from AC. Move to New Brunswick.

There could be a daily bus that goes to AC from central jersey but i doubt it, but then u would have to get to that bus. If u have a car and traveling time and money isn't a problem then I'd much rather drive but it is FAR. It's about 100 miles each way. Forget about taking a train from AC to Phila I don't even think the nonstop train runs regularly. It's like taking amtrak to canada or something with the layovers, it'll take more than 4 hours each way lol.

Coach USA Suburban operates trips to or From AC from New Brunswick but from AC If you get on the bus that is not the return trip on that run and that bus is full you won't be able to get on that bus and will have to wait for another bus to get a seat if seats are available. To save money on this trip you would need to cash in the Bonus they usually give at the casinos

Move anywhere. Even driving that's at least 2 hours each way, and you can't park on campus. You have to park in the satellite lots and take the shuttle bus. You'd be getting up at 5am just to make your 9am class.

You'd also be spending at least $300 a month in gas and tolls - plus parking - plus insurance - plus car payments.

I'm thinking renting a room in New Brunswick is cheaper . . . and easier.
