I will be moving to East Stroudburg Pa. I work in Staten Island near Victory Blvd. Do you know of a good way of commuting via bus or by bus and car part of the way?

Really frustated about situation. Thanks Jeff

You should start your own thread about this, but East Stroudsburg PA to Stagnified Island NY every day?? You will be commuting more hours than working. There are some buses but I bet they are only several a day. Long trip for every day.

It takes 2-3hrs from Bergen County to East Stroudsberg,PA , to SI add another 2-3 due to congestion.

East Stroudsburg, PA to Victory Bullie,SI, eEEEvil censor Google Maps shows it as 1 1/2 hours each way, assuming your not driving rush hour traffic. We all know the main roads congest during weekday rush hour..

Public transit on that journey,,,that's a good question. I think you can search some of the long distance bus companies which might stop at East Stroudsburg, but I'm guessing they will be a few buses each day and probably go to major points like Manhattan, etc and then you'd have to get to SI. Maybe some of the Martz or similar, maybe a downtown NYC Wall St or Chinatown bus, then the SI ferry and SI buses? That would take much time and few options in my book.

If it where me I'd wind up driving it and shoot for out of rush hour in/out times.

Oh here's an evil map link

One note, driving from 78 to the Goethals Bridge, which I did for about 5 years I would not bother with the NJ Pike, would take 1/9 down to usually the backwards jughandle light for I-278 in Elizabeth direct to the Goethals (278, not 287)

I think EZ Pass also has some deal if you go in/out to SI a certain number of days/month the toll is less.
Back in the days before EZ Pass we used to buy books of toll tickets that where half price as long as you drove in about 20 times per month. Now I think they have the electronic version of that using EZ Pass
