Alot of those townships have no real downtown
and the towns along the Delaware serves as their
downtowns. Frenchtown with Kingwood, Milford with Holland
and Lambertville with West Amwell.

Union Township is a nice area in addition to other posts and very accessible.
I lived in Frenchtown and loved it. The area started flooding
extensively three months after we left so I did not have to deal with it.
My old house has never flooded- 1-1/2 blocks from the river.
The river flooding has certain areas that really get hit, depending
on where the river bends. Each year it gets worse. BUT unless you
are buying riverfront (and that with two acres is not easy to come by)
do not let that scare you. Just be mindful and you should be okay.
The area in general is beautiful although taxes
and allergies might be scary. Jersey taxes are crazy now and PA is
not that far behind. The schools are great in Hunterdon County.
