At least it's washing all that salt off the road. I have a little water coming in my 3 year old basement too. Not fun. I'm pretty sure I saw a bunch of animals in pairs walking past my house this morning too.

Fah-looding in Hoboken. Pools of water everywhere. Just a miserable day - or a good excuse to curl up on the couch with a movie or good book. Unless you are like poor Deb8997 and bailing out the basement! Roll on Tuesday and sunshine!

And weren't you wondering what that was your neighbor is building in his backyard?

I did a driveby along the ocean this morning. The water looked scary--white and churning and way up the beach. The wind was blowing sand along the road and my poor little Jetta was rocking back and forth in the wind.

I went to the store before the heavy rained started to stock up on food and snacks for the cats and me. Now it's raining hard and I've got two pots under the leaks in the kitchen roof. Landlord said he patched the skylight yesterday--coulda fooled me.

Also a couple of times the house shook so hard from the wind it spooked me.

May be the # 1 reason keeping me from moving from Vegas back to NJ. Ok maybe not #1 (property tax, traffic, cost of living, corruption, ) but it is up there.

I looked out back this morning with my trash can in the middle of the yard, my shed looked demolished, and the grass looks like rice paddies... it's a nasty day.

He claimed it was a new deck. The staircase looks suspiciously like a rudder though.
