We are thinking of moving to north jersey. We work at exchange place in jersey city and near port authority in manhattan. So, we are looking for moving to a place which has good transportation to both the places and is also a nice residential neighborhood(not as commercial as jersey city...).
Can you guys please suggest me some towns/places.
Overpriced and overrated. Plus, the highest property taxes & auto insurance in the nation.
I am amazed that rents have gotten so high. You can't even find a one bedroom apartment in the worst parts of Jersey City (south of Communipaw Ave) for less than $2,000 a month.
NY'ers are flocking to Jersey City & Hoboken and trying to create the six & seventh boros of the city.
The same as the outer boros of NYC. Overcrowded, overrated, overtrendy, filthy, people with nasty attitudes, confiscatory cost of living & taxes, and the 20-40 minute wait whenever you need to drive into the city.
Kearny NJ is located close to Jersey City, and only about 5 miles from the Path train to NYC, and 5 miles from NJTransit train in Rutherford.
I work for Rosa Agency in Kearny, and we have a good selection of single and multi-family homes.
Let me know if you need more information on the area.

you can move to north hudson county. Guttenberg or North Bergen. Both town are less then tens minutes away from Jersey City and 15 minutes from midtown.

And condos only start in the 400K's with some outrageous sum for RE taxes & HOA fees.
Prices are not coming down because of the demand from across the hudson river into any part of Hudson county.
Don't move to this part of NJ unless your household income is over $250,000 a year...
