Of course good things are happening but they are not enough to overcome the bad. It is not enough, by being so easy on Newark you are damning the city with low expectations. Expect and demand more from Newark and you may get it. Saying 77 murders is a positive is setting the bar pretty low. I don't know of many communities (other than Camden or Trenton) that would accept 77 murders, even if was a reduction from past numbers.

By the way Newark Is the 2nd fastest growing city in the Northeast, looks like more people are looking to get in then get out !!

As far as big cities go Newark ranked number 29 or 30, on the list for crime.

Old news, pop, has been growing since 2006, 2010 census will show Newark is growing at a good rate.

Better than alot of big cities like Baltimore, Philadelphia, ST. Louis, Cleveland, Detroit, Orlando, Miami ,DC ,LA and so on and so on.

It actually was the 23rd most dangerous city in the country that is disgraceful.
