I would contact the New Mexico Public Utilities Commission and ask them this question.
Many of the lighter aliphatic hydrocarbons (methane, butane, propane, and ethane) are slow poisons and hallucinogens. That is why you don't stick you head in an unlit oven. You might actually blow the house up before you died.
This was a lot different when the gas was manufactured by mixing very hot coal (coke) with water steam and creating a mix of methane, carbon monoxide and a bunch of other gasses. The carbon monoxide is very toxic.
Most current stoves either do not use pilot flames or have flame sensitive cut off valves so the fuel is cut off if the pilot flame goes out.
Natural gas and the appliances that use this fuel have many millions of users and are designed to maximize safety. When properly installed and used they do not present any danger to the users.
Just about 100% of natural gas is toxic, flammable, and explosive.
It's supposed to have stinky compounds in it. The fact these compounds might be toxic in large quantities is irrelevant; leaks are far more dangerous for flammability and explosive reasons.
Next thing you know there will be people asking if there are toxic substances in the gasoline they buy.
Pretty silly, this discussion.
Just about 100% of natural gas is toxic
why do you said this? natural gas is approximately 80% of methane.
According to Wikipedia methane is non toxic.
Do you have a source for what you said?

I'm interested by low quantity toxicity.

Do you mean that I'm stupid. lol You believe that 100% of natural gas is toxic ... what your point?

Thanks for your post. Where did you see that methane is hallucinogens?
