Where? Not in Albuquerque. It is cold enough, but dry as a bone.

edit: I found a snow cover map. It looks like the northern mountains and the very southern part of the state did indeed get snow. Most of the state is absolutlely arid, though.

It was 26 degrees this morning in Rio Rancho. The sun came up and it is now 30 degrees and no wind. Actually not bad. Have not had any snow this year yet...

I saw about 20 seconds of snow here a couple days ago (Thursday morning, I think), while I was driving. So yes, we did get some snow. Blink and you missed it.

We had some minor flurries here in Alamogordo Wednesday morning and again on Thursday. Nothing stuck. Got down to 14 Friday morning and killed all the mulberry leaves in town.

Friends in southern Texas and Louisiana were all excited about the snow. It was fun to view their pictures on Facebook. My cousin in Baton Rouge commented that she had not seen that much snow since 1977.

I watered my evergreen shrubs about a week ago before the temps started to fall and will try to water once a month on warmer days if we don't get any precipitation. A good snowfall would be nice!

Hmmm. Watering in winter. Not a thing this old Oregonian ever had to do!

Trees use water even during winter. Before the ground freezes in late fall, give your tree a thorough watering. During mild winters, where temperatures are above normal and the ground thaws, give your tree periodic watering. If the soil feels dry or just slightly damp, it needs water. If you plant exotic plants or non-local plants, they might need watering during the winter...

We had three tress planted about six months ago, the horticulturist who planted them said to water them every day for a year...

Yes, some people don't water during the winter...

I did see periodic very light snow flurries in Albuquerque over a period of a few hours on Thursday. A trace was recorded at the Sunport. That day we had a high of 37 degrees.

The next day there was snow in parts of south Texas for the first time in over a decade.
