The lovely and talented Mrs Tecpatl got me a great new book on New Mexico history: Pueblos, Spanianrds and the Kingdom of New Mexico, by John L. Kessell
It's a great book with tons of insight into the very earliest days of Spanish occupation in New Mexico, and focuses on the good and bad aspects of the relationships between the Spanish and the Pueblo peoples. Fascinating if you like a readable and well researched history. Gracias, Querida!!!
