Just went out and checked all my plants. Not sure why, but its something I do every a.m. and p.m. did plant some watermelon seeds yesterday. Not sure if they will do much, but what the heck.

Other than that, nothing on tap for today except the usual, boring housework.

I just wish you'd send some of that rain here, girl.....hasn't all that rain impacted Kent's planting?

Alamogordo is running 10-15 degrees over this time last year, and June will probably do the same thing. May 2008 was very nice and pleasant.

Not this year. Even Alpine, Fort Davis and Marfa, TX are cooling down more and faster at night than Alamogordo is right now.

It's Midland, TX all over again. 82 degrees at 9pm.......

Sounds heavenly........it's up to 86 now, with high/low forecast at 92/63.

At this time last year, 84/51.

I'll have to go out and cover the tomatoes with shade fabric around noon so that they don't roast....

I'm not fond of housework either but with 2 dogs, it's gotta be done about every 2 days here.

Nan and Jane,
Would you all mind spreading the word about the potluck?
You all know people I don't know and even though it's being spread by a few people here, we don't want to miss anyone.

It's in the 80's in Timberon and the wind is blowing just a little bit. Nice blue skies though.
