Hot and humid, can sweat as soon as you step outside on bad days. However, some days can be cooler and windy. Warm nights, and it always rains when I'm in New Orleans and especially when I'm downtown.

I can almost guarantee it will be the hottest temperatures and heat index you've ever experienced. Summers are hot, humid, and miserable in South Louisiana. It gets hot in May and doesn't cool down until mid October. Fair warning....

A few summers ago I worked in NOLA remodeling houses...Some days you kinda, almost, somewhat get used to the heat and humidity. Other days you feel like you might pass out or throw up.

I still loved it tho' and have been daydreaming about moving down there ever since.

Dont worry to much. Almost all buildings are air conditioned.

If you ever worked washing dishes or in the back of a restaurant for anything... Air-conditioning doesn't help when it's set for a normal environment and you are over a cooking stove or a dishwasher with hot steam coming out of it. Every place where I did these things (including handling dishes to be washed on an assembly line in a cafeteria) it was very hot and steamy.
